2222 - Daisy

Daisy n'est pas à son meilleur lors de nos journées d'adoption. Le fait de passer la journée enfermée dans une cage la rend de mauvaise humeur, alors qu'à la maison elle est affectueuse, enjouée et s'entend bien avec les autres chats. Daisy est arrivée au Refuge par l'intermédiaire d'une jeune femme qui est venue nous la confier. C'est les larmes aux yeux qu'elle nous a expliqué comme son chemin avait croisé celui de Daisy. Elle marchait dans une rue de Verdun, avec devant elle, un couple à vélo. Soudain, la femme a ouvert le sac de sport qu'elle transportait, en a fait sortir un chat, et ils sont repartis à toute allure en se disant de courir, pour éviter que le chat ne les suive. La jeune femme n'en croyait pas ses yeux. Ne pouvant abandonner la pauvre bête à un traitement si cruel, elle l'a recueillie et confiée au Refuge qui a promis d'en prendre soin. Elle vit dans une bonne famille temporaire, a été stérilisée et vaccinée. Tout ce qui lui manque, c'est le confort et la sécurité de votre foyer, où elle n'aura plus jamais à craindre d'être abandonnée.
Daisy is a wonderful little cat who doesn't much enjoy adoption days —probably because she hates cages and she gets a little temperamental by the end of the day but at home she is playful, affectionate and gets along well with the other cats in her foster home. Daisy arrived unexpectedly at an adoption day last fall, carried in by a young woman with tears in her eyes and who told the refuge volunteers how she came to have Daisy. She was walking down a street in Verdun behind a man on a bicycle and a woman carrying a sports bag. Suddenly, the woman opened the bag, dumped out the cat and the man said run, run, or the cat will follow us. The young woman couldn't believe what was happening so she scooped up the cat and brought her to the community centre —where we promised to take care of her— and we did. We found a foster home right away and she has since been neutered and had both vaccines so all Daisy needs now is a permanent loving home where she will be appreciated and adored —as she deserves— and will never again have to be worried about being dumped on the street. Give Daisy a chance and you will not regret your decision.
